How do we turn a song into a home lesson?
Choose one goal, listen once, try a short game and revisit the phrase later. The song is a starting point alongside conversation, books and play.

Write one familiar word with a picture or object nearby. Say it and use it; recognising a card from memory is different from decoding unfamiliar text.
Read ahead to choose a useful line, then revisit it after listening. Do not make every song a reading exercise if the learner is still exploring spoken English.
Choose a book with a matching idea, such as friendship or actions. Talk about a picture using a familiar phrase without expecting its text to match our lyrics.
Repeat a greeting on one day, an action another, and a toy conversation later. Reuse familiar language; a daily stream of new vocabulary is not necessary.
Use one short phrase during a real moment: Hello at playtime or Thank you after help. You can participate without opening a screen or preparing materials.
Use a suitable music service and comfortable volume. Keep actions appropriate to the setting; seated gestures are enough, and the supervising adult’s attention comes first.
No. Use songs as one part of a wider plan with speaking, reading, writing and other learning activities suited to your learner’s stage.
Change the toy’s name, who gives the instruction or which object moves. Keep the core phrase familiar so the new game still has a clear language focus.
Write a brief observation or let your learner draw a favourite moment. Note a phrase they used; this is a family record, not a standardised level score.
